Cactus should be sorted as:

If treated as garden waste
Recycling centre / Genbrugsplads

If a small houseplant
Residual waste / Restaffald
Cacti should usually not go in food waste, especially if they include soil, thorns or pot residue. Small houseplant cacti can be wrapped and placed in residual waste so the spines do not injure anyone. Larger plants can be taken to a recycling centre as garden waste where accepted. Remove pots and packaging first.
