Mit Affald and collection dates

Esbjerg Municipality has self-service where residents can see upcoming collections for residual waste, food waste, paper, recycling, textile waste, garden waste and environmental boxes.

Food waste

Food waste must be sorted separately and placed in the green plastic food-waste bags with a double knot before going into the outdoor food-waste bin. Food waste is normally collected every 2 weeks.

Urban and rural waste areas

The municipality is divided into urban and rural waste areas, which can affect access requirements, bin placement and how bins are collected.

Recycling centres

Esbjerg Municipality has four recycling centres in Bramming, Måde, Ribe and Tarp. Private households can hand in sorted waste, but not residual waste or food waste.

Clear sacks at recycling centres

Waste for the recycling centres must be sorted, and waste in sacks must be handed in using clear sacks. Black sacks and other opaque packaging may be rejected.
