Kolding Municipality is introducing a new and more uniform waste collection scheme from autumn 2025, so households sort according to the national waste fractions. The municipality provides information about containers, shared solutions and waste fees at kolding.dk.
Kolding Nord and Kolding Syd Recycling Centres are staffed every day from 9-17 and can be used around the clock after registration for Genbrug 24-7. Lunderskov has special opening hours and restrictions.
The municipality's five recycling centres accept hazardous waste, batteries, electronics and light sources, but needles and medicine residues must be handed in at pharmacies. At Lunderskov, hazardous waste is only accepted on Tuesdays in even-numbered weeks when Motas is present.
Genbrugsbilen, formerly the bulky waste collection scheme, runs for the last time on 23 December 2025. After 31 December 2025, reusable items should be passed on or handed in for reuse, while broken items must be taken to a recycling centre.
