REFA collects food waste, residual waste, paper, cardboard, glass, metal, plastic, food and beverage cartons and hazardous waste on Lolland-Falster and the islands. All private households and holiday homes must be registered for the waste scheme.
Bulky waste is collected four times a year after booking through self-service. Hazardous waste is collected through the bulky waste scheme, while holiday homes must deliver hazardous waste to one of REFA's recycling centres.
Lolland has recycling centres in places such as Maribo, Nakskov, Rødby, Dannemare, Holeby, Horslunde and Søllested, plus container sites on Askø, Fejø and Femø. REFA operates them as part of the shared Lolland-Falster network.
