In Egedal Municipality, household waste is sorted into ten fractions, including food waste, residual waste, paper, cardboard, glass, plastic, metal, textiles, food and beverage cartons and hazardous waste. Residents use containers for food and residual waste as well as recyclable materials such as paper, cardboard, plastic and metal.
