Municipal waste service information
Sorting guidance
FFV's sorting guide explains how household waste is divided into the 10 waste types and which bins or delivery points to use.
Bulky waste
Furniture, mattresses, carpets and other bulky waste should generally be taken to one of FFV's recycling centres. Sort the waste before arrival and follow the instructions at the site.
Hazardous waste
Small amounts of hazardous waste can be placed in the red environmental box. Collection must be booked through self-service at least one week before the listed date. Larger or special amounts should be taken to a recycling centre.
Garden waste and composting
Garden waste can be taken to the recycling centres and is composted. Faaborg, Ringe and Årslev have 24-hour access to their garden-waste areas. Free compost is occasionally offered while stocks last.
