In Fanø Municipality, waste is sorted into fractions such as glass, metal, cardboard, paper, plastic, food waste and residual waste. Residents have access to environmental stations and the recycling centre in Nordby. Food waste must be placed in bio bags, while glass and metal should be emptied and reasonably clean. Hazardous waste and small electronics can be delivered to environmental stations or the recycling centre.
