Hazardous waste
Fredensborg Municipality is part of Norfors' recycling-centre scheme. The regulation covers access to recycling centres in municipalities such as Allerød, Fredensborg, Hørsholm and Rudersdal, and hazardous waste may only be delivered when staff are present. Asbestos waste must be reported to the municipality unless it is a small amount. Højvangen Recycling Centre does not accept fibre-cement roof sheets, and dusty asbestos-containing waste is directed according to municipal rules.
