Municipal waste rules
In Haderslev Municipality, household waste is sorted into ten trash categories, including food waste, paper, cardboard, glass, metal, plastic and residual waste. Residents use divided containers, and bulky waste and hazardous waste can be collected or delivered to local recycling centres operated by Provas. There are special rules for asbestos waste, which must be packaged correctly, and SMS reminders are available for collection days.

Sorting guidance
Provas provides a searchable guide online and in the Provas 24/7 web app, including for unstaffed recycling-centre visits.
Bulky waste
Provas has no general bulky-waste collection. Large items are taken to the Haderslev, Vojens or Gram sites.
Hazardous waste
The environmental box is for small amounts. Larger hazardous waste and exchanges at certain sites require staffed hours.
Garden waste and composting
Garden waste is accepted at all three sites, generally around the clock for residents enrolled in Provas 24/7.
