Waste services

Provas handles daily operations

In Haderslev Municipality, Provas handles daily waste operations. Provas provides collection calendars, bin placement guidance, bags, SMS service, sorting guidance and recycling-centre information.

Three recycling centres

Provas operates recycling centres in Haderslev, Vojens and Gram. Haderslev and Vojens are staffed every day from 10-18, while Gram has shorter staffed opening hours.

Provas 24/7

With Provas 24/7, registered residents can deliver garden waste and old building materials around the clock at all recycling centres. Hazardous waste that does not fit in the environmental box can only be delivered during staffed opening hours.

GenTag and direct reuse

GenTag areas at the recycling centres allow reusable items to be passed on. Haderslev also has GenSkab, where broken items from the recycling centre are repaired and given new life.

No general bulky-waste pickup

Provas states that it does not offer bulky-waste collection. Larger items should therefore generally be sorted and delivered to a recycling centre.

Asbestos and hazardous waste

Provas has a collection scheme for asbestos waste and fibre cement without asbestos from the property. Businesses can deliver up to 200 kg hazardous waste per year at recycling centres for a fee and must be able to receive documentation.
