Municipal waste rules
In Høje-Taastrup Municipality, residents sort waste into ten trash categories, including food waste, paper, cardboard, metal, glass, plastic, food cartons, hazardous waste, textile waste and residual waste. The Perfect Waste app helps residents scan products and find sorting guidance. The recycling centre accepts electronics, hazardous waste and other waste types, and bulky waste can be ordered for collection.

Municipal waste service information
Sorting guidance
The Perfect Waste app replaced the former waste portal and provides sorting help and collection alerts. HTK Forsyning’s website also guides residents through all local schemes.
Bulky waste
Bulky waste is collected from the road ten times yearly. It must be discarded household contents, sorted into clearly separated groups and placed fully at the road.
Hazardous waste
Hazardous waste is handed in under HTK Forsyning guidance or to recycling-centre staff in sealed, labelled packaging.
Garden waste and composting
Garden waste is collected about every other week from April to mid-November. Large amounts can be booked for grab collection, and composting guidance and loan bins are available from the Environment and Energy Centre.
