In Ikast-Brande Municipality, each household has a recycling container divided into paper/small cardboard and metal/plastic/food and beverage cartons. Larger items and waste types not collected at the household can be delivered to recycling centres in Ikast, Brande, Nørre Snede and Bording, including glass, hazardous waste, electronics and large cardboard. The municipality also offers an online sorting guide.

The municipality collects 10 waste types at the household. The recycling bin is divided into two compartments: paper and small cardboard in one, and metal, plastic and food and beverage cartons in the other.
Ikast-Brande Municipality has recycling centres in Ikast, Brande, Bording and Nørre Snede. Bording and Nørre Snede are self-service sites with extended opening hours, while Ikast and Brande have staffed periods.
Bulky waste can be booked through the municipal waste service. Residents can also buy SMS bag codes, order extra collections and sign up for or cancel the boundary collection scheme.
Hazardous household waste is handled through the environmental box and recycling centres. Fireworks, chemicals and other special waste types must follow the municipality's current sorting guidance.
The municipality has separate requirements for stone/glass wool and roofing sheets with and without asbestos. Mineral wool is not accepted at the recycling centres in Bording and Nørre Snede.
