Waste services

Kerteminde Forsyning handles waste services

Kerteminde Forsyning handles waste management, bins, collection calendars, sorting guidance, recycling centres, waste fees and practical waste messages in the municipality.

Three local drop-off sites

The municipality has Kerteminde Recycling Centre, Langeskov Recycling Centre and Munkebo Genbrugs-Ø. Munkebo Genbrugs-Ø does not accept all waste types, and larger or special waste types must be delivered to the staffed recycling centres.

Hazardous waste and environmental box

Hazardous waste can be handed in using the environmental box or at the recycling centre. Kerteminde Forsyning has an exchange scheme where the box can be placed out by agreement and swapped for an empty one.

Bulky waste by registration

Bulky waste can be collected after registration with Kerteminde Forsyning. Waste must be sorted and placed out correctly so each material can be handled properly.

Compost and garden waste

Garden waste can be delivered to the recycling centre, and the municipality also encourages home composting where possible. This can reduce waste volumes and return nutrients to the garden.

Resource Plan 2022-2034

Kerteminde Municipality's resource plan focuses on less waste, more reuse and better recycling. The plan supports national sorting requirements and more circular resource management.
