Municipal waste rules
In Næstved Municipality, household waste is sorted into ten categories: food waste, paper, cardboard, glass, metal, plastic, residual waste, hazardous waste, damaged textiles and food and beverage cartons. The scheme is designed to increase recycling and reduce waste sent to incineration. Hazardous waste can be collected in a special environmental box, and recycling centres accept larger items such as electronics and building materials. Six sites for recycling and garden waste
Næstved Municipality has recycling centres in Næstved, Fuglebjerg, Herlufmagle, Holme-Olstrup and Mogenstrup, plus a separate garden-waste site in Næstved.
Bulky waste every 14 days
Residents can book bulky-waste collection every 14 days. The scheme includes furniture, white goods, large cardboard, polystyrene, textile waste and hazardous waste.
Environmental box
Hazardous waste can be collected through the environmental box. Larger hazardous waste or waste that does not fit in the box must be delivered at the recycling centre.
NK Affald app
The waste app provides sorting help, notifications about upcoming collection dates and shortcuts to self-service.
Holiday homes
Holiday homes are automatically enrolled in a waste solution with a bin for food and residual waste, while recyclable waste is delivered at shared recycling islands.
