Ringsted Municipality has a waste scheme covering ten waste types: residual waste, food waste, paper, cardboard, glass, metal, plastic, food and beverage cartons, textile waste and hazardous waste. Households receive containers and must sort correctly. Glass and metal are collected less frequently than other fractions, while hazardous waste and textiles can be collected by order. Bulky waste and garden waste can also be collected, and AffaldPlus provides a waste ABC and collection calendar reminders.

AffaldPlus collects food waste, residual waste, plastic, food and beverage cartons, paper and small cardboard, glass and metal at the household. Larger properties may also have cardboard schemes.
Bulky waste, textile waste, hazardous waste and garden waste are collected by booking. Bulky waste and hazardous waste are collected every four weeks year-round, while garden waste is collected from March to October.
Ringsted Recycling Centre is located at Møllevej 14. The site has staffed opening hours and self-service access in the outer hours if you are registered as a customer and signed up for the service.
At the recycling centre, waste in bags must be delivered in clear bags. The red environmental box is used for hazardous waste, small electronics, batteries and light bulbs.
Next to Ringsted Recycling Centre is PlusByg, AffaldPlus' reuse building market, where building materials, tools, furniture and other usable items are sold on.
