Practical waste information

Municipal waste rules

Ringsted Municipality has a waste scheme covering ten waste types: residual waste, food waste, paper, cardboard, glass, metal, plastic, food and beverage cartons, textile waste and hazardous waste. Households receive containers and must sort correctly. Glass and metal are collected less frequently than other fractions, while hazardous waste and textiles can be collected by order. Bulky waste and garden waste can also be collected, and AffaldPlus provides a waste ABC and collection calendar reminders.
