Municipal waste rules

In Skanderborg Municipality, Renosyd manages waste collection and provides containers for household sorting. Residents sort fractions such as food waste, residual waste, glass, paper, cardboard, plastic, metal, textiles, hazardous waste and electronics. Food and residual waste are collected every two weeks, while recyclable fractions are collected less frequently. Renosyd administers waste

In Skanderborg Municipality, Renosyd administers waste from households and businesses. Through Renosyd, residents can view waste schemes, collection dates, sorting guidance, prices and book bulky waste.

Bins and Mit Renosyd

The standard solution for year-round homes is three 240-litre bins, two of which are divided, plus a red box for hazardous waste. On Mit Renosyd, property owners can see waste data and information about their bins.

Four local recycling centres

Skanderborg Municipality has local Renosyd sites in Skanderborg, Hørning, Ry and Galten-Skovby. In total, Renosyd operates five recycling centres and value parks across Skanderborg and Odder municipalities.

Recycling-centre rules

Residual waste and food waste must not be taken to the recycling centre. Waste in bags must be in clear plastic bags, and hazardous waste is delivered at the hazardous-waste room or table according to staff instructions.

Værdicentralen and direct reuse

Renosyd works with direct reuse through Værdicentralen in Skanderborg, where usable items from recycling centres can get a new life instead of becoming waste.

Asbestos and fibre cement

Asbestos and fibre cement follow special Renosyd rules. Residents and businesses in Skanderborg and Odder municipalities can deliver limited amounts according to current requirements and with correct packaging.
