Municipal waste rules
In Struer Municipality, waste is sorted into ten trash categories, including residual waste, food waste, glass, paper, cardboard, plastic, metal, textile waste and hazardous waste. Nomi4s manages collection and recycling centres, including bulky waste collection by agreement. Recycling stations accept hazardous waste and larger items, and the municipality’s waste plan toward 2034 prioritises sustainable waste management and increased recycling.

Municipal waste service information
Sorting guidance
Nomi4s' waste guide for houses and holiday homes describes local bins, access requirements, prices and delivery options. The app's search function helps with specific items and shows relevant recycling centres in the Nomi4s area.
Bulky waste
Private households and holiday homes can subscribe to up to six booked collections of bulky and garden waste per year. Bulky waste must be separated, bundled or placed in clear sacks; construction waste, timber waste and hazardous waste are excluded.
Hazardous waste
Hazardous waste must be delivered to the Struer or Thyholm recycling centre and is not included in bulky-waste collection. Chemicals, paint, batteries and light bulbs must be kept separate and handed to the site's dedicated reception; medicine goes to a pharmacy.
Garden waste and composting
Garden waste can be included in the optional service with up to six annual call-outs; simultaneous collection with bulky waste counts as one call-out. It can also be delivered sorted at recycling centres or composted at home when suitable.
