In the Thy Recycle app and Thy Forsyning self-service, you can view collection days, book special collections and environmental-box exchanges, and find the nearest recycling centre. The service covers both permanent and holiday homes.
Thy Recycle's address-based sorting guide shows the household bin, GenbrugsEkspressen and the correct recycling-centre container. It includes concrete examples for local categories and separate guides for the two express collection services.
GenbrugsEkspressen collects eight bulky-waste types when booked by the Saturday before the area's collection week. Place items out by 7 a.m. Monday; up to ten units are allowed, normally no more than 15 kg each, with no more than one large appliance per collection.
Small hazardous items and electronics are collected in the red environmental box, which must be stored dry and safely and booked for exchange through self-service. Hazardous waste is not collected by GenbrugsEkspressen and can also be delivered to one of the four recycling centres.
HaveEkspressen collects garden waste once a month when booked by the Saturday before the collection week. Up to ten units weighing no more than 15 kg each may be placed out by 7 a.m. Monday; branches may be no longer than 1.5 metres, while grass, moss, soil and stones are excluded.
