In Vesthimmerland Municipality, household waste is sorted into ten fractions: food waste, residual waste, paper, cardboard, glass, plastic, metal, textiles, food and beverage cartons and hazardous waste. Households have access to four recycling centres where hazardous waste and larger items can be delivered.
