Remove food scraps from the pizza box. Some municipalities accept an emptied cardboard pizza box with small oil stains as cardboard; others have different rules. If it is wet or contains food scraps, or your municipality does not accept pizza boxes with cardboard, sort it as residual waste. Follow your municipality’s current guidance.
If the category is not available locally
If your municipality does not collect this category at your home, you can do this.

Alternative: Municipal recycling centre, local collection point or shared collection station. Do not automatically use residual waste.

There is no general substitute category. The municipality must provide a residual-waste scheme; contact it if you cannot access one.
